The upgrade ladder in four rules
Everything in the game hangs off one loop. These rules come straight from the developer's game description.
A kill is one step
Each kill upgrades your gear by one step: Leather, Copper, Iron, Full Diamond, Ruby, Shadow, Prism, then MAXED.
A death is zero
Dying sends your upgrades back to zero, so long streaks are fragile.
High targets pay more
Hunting players with a high Upgrade gives bonus XP.
Gear Saver is the exception
If you die at a high Upgrade, a Gear Saver lets you keep your armor.
